The Holznasen Viktor Kucera and Dirk Volkmann
Article in Hildesheims local press HAZ from April the 15th 1996.
They call themselves "wooden noses".Viktor Kucera and Dirk Volkmann do puppet theatre in their own style
the czech Viktor Kucera ,living in Hildesheim since 1986 ,well known as puppetmaster.He traveled half of the World with his Handmade Marionettes .He found his audience at streettheatre and high society galas as well.
The special in his up to one meter large puppetsis the astonishing vitality and movability....Beneath singular shows Viktor Kucera also dedicated himself enforced to staging whole stories on puppet stage.
Since he´s working together with Dirk Volkmann they established new possibilities to put stories on stage
and to share their work.Viktor builds the Marionettes ,Dirk designs and builds the stage where both act behind and speak the characters.The puppetmasters , who happen to look similar as if they where brothers ,fixed their
kind of staging that them both are visible.....

...Model for Mo
if you look concentrated you may recover a considerable similarity between Volkmann and Mo.
And in fact he was the carver´s model for Mo."the face has to be always alittle bit asymetric,on one side smiling
on the other side honest.Symetrical faces affect the senses a little bit lifeless from the distance"
you can´t say that about Mo and Jo at all. ...

Up the cups, down the moral! To suck on a bottle of beer and have a look after the girls,the two wooden buddies
from the Holznasen puppet theatre didn´t went further in their evolution-all for the joy of the audience in Duedweiler ,which had ist fun about that wooden man´s philosophy...
